Extended Training in EFCT
Core Skills Extended Training in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT) consists of 48-hours of learning EFCT in connection that will broaden, deepen and consolidate participants' EFCT knowledge and skills across the entire EFCT Road Map from assessment to de-escalation, to shifting working models of self and other, to co-creating and consolidating a new connecting relationship pattern. Participants will receive a multitude of experiential learning opportunities to enhance their knowledge, skills and attunement via didactics, video-based visual learning and applied exercises, within a supportive environment.
There is also opportunity for participants to get feedback on videos of oneʻs own EFCT work. While this is no longer a requirement, we enthusiastically invite any participant who would like to show one's EFCT work and receive supportive feedback, to do so.
Completion of Core Skills meets one of the ICEEFT requirements to apply for Certification as an EFCT Therapist. For more information on ICEEFTʻs EFCT Certification requirements and application process, click the link below:

Prerequisites
1. Read Sue Johnsonʻs (2020) 3rd edition of The Practice of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy: Creating Connection
2. Completed an ICEEFT approved EFT Externship
3. Using EFT with at least two couples
4. If presenting videotape of your EFCT work, you must have acquired a signed release from the couple to the video record the session, to present relevant case information and to show the video recording to the training attendees.

ICEEFT Certified EFT Trainer, Supervisor, Therapist
Dr. Cindy Goodness Zane is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a private practice in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. Born and raised in Hawaiʻi to parents with multiethnic roots, Dr. Zane strongly identifies with her Hawaiian-Japanese ancestries and spiritual faith. She enjoys working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds, identities, faiths and varied life experiences.
She began her professional life as a trial attorney who discovered that she enjoyed helping people to overcome life challenges and strengthen their relationships. After all, life is less scary and more cherishing when you have close others to share it with.
Dr. Zane is passionate about training more EFT clinicians throughout her home state, supporting the development of EFT clinicians of diverse backgrounds and identities, as well as those who work with diverse populations.
Dr. Zane has provided in person and online EFT trainings across North American and internationally, including Japan, Iran, Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, Las Vegas, Oregon, California, Washington, Pittsburgh and Utah. She has also mentored EFT clinicians in Brazil, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as the US and Hawai'i. Additionally, Dr. Zane has presented to the Hawai'i Judicial Conference, Hawai'i State Bar Association, Western States Bar Conference, Williams S. Richardson School of Law and the Office of the Public Defender.

Excellent for those wanting to enhance their EFCT knowledge & skills in the EFCT Tango, Stage 1 and/or Stage 2 work.
Payment can be made online, due at the time of registration.
Completing the registration and first payment commits the applicant to attend all four Modules and reserves one's space for the whole course.
Refunds/Cancellations
Cancellation requests received more than 30 days before the event will be refunded in full minus a $50 administration fee. Cancellation requests received 30 days or less before the event will receive a 50% refund of the amount paid minus a $50 administration fee.
The organizer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the event for reasons of safety, act of God, minimum number of participants has not been met or any circumstance that reasonably detracts from the educative purpose &/or learning objective of this training. If the event is cancelled by the organizer, registrants will be issued a full refund minus a $50 administration fee.

Qualifications
Participants are required to have completed an EFCT Externship. EFT Advanced Core Skills is designed for mental health professionals and trainees. Participants are required to note their professional affiliation on their registration form.
